"I am currently spending my summer in Montego Bay, Jamaica on an internship. For the past three months, I have been traveling across the Western Region conducting maternal health research. Just being able to write that sentence is a testament that God is able. During this season, God has been trying to show me who He is. We often (including myself) get so wrapped up in our own worlds, we forget we were never meant to exist on a micro level. We are meant for greater. Greater meaning we are meant to exist beyond our current circumstance. We are meant to be greater than our weaknesses, our current failures, accomplishments, and our current world views. We are meant to be greater children, sisters, friends, community builders, empathizers, greater problem solvers. Sometimes you have to ask yourself is this my ultimate glow? Yes, I said glow. Honestly ask yourself, is this it for me? Am I utilizing my God given potential? Is this enough for God? These very questions have been on my mind. I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m not at my ultimate glow. As a people, we are not called to be dormant. We are called to run a race. A race where we do not run to win for ourselves, but running so others can join us. God has been telling me to do my part to make it easier for others to run. To venture to places that make my knees buckle. The places that awaken my nerves and shakes me to the core, because if I am comfortable I am only running in place. I feel like God is telling me to run with all of my might and to bring along everyone on my path, and for those who are not on my path God is saying to go get them. God is good in ways I can’t even get into in this post. But believe me, I am so happy that God has brought me in contact with Godly women who are willing to teach me how to run, to pick me up when I stop and push me on to my ultimate glow. Our lives have so much potential, but you must choose to be the person God has destined you to be. This is a choice. We have to choose to be greater. He is calling us to be greater in Him. So, be willing to be used so you can obtain your ultimate glow for the glory of His kingdom and His kingdom alone. If there is anything God has shown me these past few months it is that there is more to life than we ever imagined and there is more to us than we will ever know. I encourage you to pursue your ultimate glow." -Chanice Howard, Omicron Class
